Power by David Freeman : Book Review

David Freeman's book Power is a comprehensive and insightful exploration of the concept of power. Freeman defines power as "the ability to influence the behavior of others." He argues that power is essential to human interaction, but that it can also be used for good or for evil. Freeman begins by discussing the different sources of power. He identifies five main sources of power: Coercive power: This is the power to punish or harm others. Reward power: This is the power to give rewards or benefits to others. Legitimate power: This is the power that comes from a position of authority. Expert power: This is the power that comes from having knowledge or skills that others need or respect. Referent power: This is the power that comes from being admired or respected by others.
